Benedetto Habib

Benedetto Habib is a producer. After obtaining a degree in economics, Habib has worked for 12 years for several major Italian and international investment banks. In 2000, with MB Ventures Capital Fund, he founded and led MY TV SpA, one of the most interesting realities of web 1.0 in Italy. In 2009, after following the sale of MY TV to a major publishing group, he joined Indiana Production as a Partner.

In the past years, Habib has produced hundreds of commercials, 5 TV series, and more than 40 movies, including “The First Beautiful Thing” and “The Human Capital,” both Italian nominees for the Best Foreign Language Film category at the Academy Awards in 2011 and 2015 respectively; “Ella & John – The Leisure Seeker” by Paolo Virzì with Oscar winners Donald Sutherland and Helen Mirren and “A Family” by Sebastiano Riso, both in competition at the 74th Venice International Film Festival.

Among the most recent projects, he has produced “Promises” with Pierfrancesco Favino, Kelly Reilly and Jean Reno and “Security” with Marco D’amore, two TV series “Your honor” with Stefano Accorsi produced together with Rai Fiction and “L ‘ora – ink against bullets” with Claudio Santamaria co-produced with RTI, and a film for Amazon Prime Video directed by Antonio Dikele Distefano “Autumn Beat”.

In 2023 he produced “The Return of Casanova”. That is the fifth film that the Oscar winning Gabriele Salvatores has made with Indiana, starring Toni Servillo and Fabrizio Bentivoglio. Moreover, he has produced Pilar Fogliati’s comedy debut “Romantiche”, “Scordato” by Rocco Papaleo, “Someone over there loves me” directed by Mario Martone, “The Last Night of Amore” by Andrea Di Stefano, both presented at the Berlin film festival as out of competition films. 

In 2021 he was elected as President of the Union of Producers of ANICA.
