Salice Production
Salice Production s.r.l. is an independent audiovisual production company, based in Rome, recently founded by Cosetta Lagani and Ugo Buffa, both former Sky Italia veterans (Comcast group) with over 20 years of experience in media and production.
The company positions itself as a creative factory with the aim of developing and producing high-end movies, TV series and documentaries, placing great emphasis on the scouting, the creative process, the quality standards, the language innovation, and the search for new talents.
Among the projects the company is already working on (both based on IP and original): a TV series based on an Italian bestseller commissioned in the writing stage; a tv series based on an Italian true-crime case in co- development stage with a US production company; the movie Time on hold based on a true story, that recently received the national fund for the development; the debut film by Maddalena Crespi based on her short film Miranda’s Mind starring Valentina Bellè, winner at Cortinametraggio; the docuseries I didn’t kill Borsellino selected in the official competition at the Mia Market 2023 – Doc Pitching Forum.
Cosetta Lagani is a media executive, producer and creative producer with over 15 years of experience in Sky Italia (Comcast Group), where she covered many executive roles among which: Head of Customer Development, Head of Content Marketing, Channel Director, Creative Director and Producer. In 2020, she set up the TV arm in Minerva Pictures, where she acted as Chief of Drama&Documentary and Creative Producer, with 9 projects commissioned in writing and/or production under her management, among which the tv series Miss Fallaci. Since 2023, she has been working as Producer and Creative Producer for the projects of her own company, Salice Production. In May 2023, she graduated at the UCLA Extension Showrunners Boot Camp.
She managed and creative produced over 15 projects, among which: the tv series Miss Fallaci (2024 – Paramount+, awarded with ViacomCBS International Studios Award); Margherita from the stars (2024, tv movie for Rai Fiction); A New Tomorrow (2024, docufiction for Rai Fiction); the documentaries for Rai Documentari: Marta – Murder at the Sapienza campus (finalist at the Italian Golden Globe 2022), Now it’s our turn – the story of Pio La Torre, Margherita the voice of the stars; the feature art-documentaries for Sky, among which: Michelangelo, Endless (finalist at Nastri d’Argento and at David di Donatello – best VFX and awarded with Moige), Caravaggio, the soul and the blood (best documentary at the Italian Golden Globe, ranking 1st at the Italian box-office among the art-documentaries), Florence and the Uffizi Gallery (special award at Nastri d’Argento, ranking 1st at the worldwide box-office among art- documentaries).
