Verdiana Bixio was born into a family of great artists and thanks to this, she approached the sector still very young, working in the fields of music, dubbing, adaptation and editing.
She graduated from La Sapienza University of Rome in Film History and since 2005 has been working in her father’s company, Publispei production company, where, over the years, she carried out various activities that have allowed her to develop a valid experience in the different departments of the audiovisual production chain.
In September 2012 she became President of Publispei, pursuing the company’s 40-year mission: exciting the audience and guaranteeing high-quality creative productions with successful TV series, such as “Un Medico in Famiglia”, “I Cesaroni” and “Tutti pazzi per amore”.
Under Verdiana’s leadership, in 2013, Publispei produced for the first time a theatrical documentary on Massimo Troisi entitled Massimo, il mio cinema secondo me, successfully presented in 2014 at the International Film Festival of Rome. In the same year, she joined the APA Board of Directors. In 2015 she produced Giuseppe Piccioni’s “These Days”, in competition at the 73rd Venice International Film Festival, released in Italian theaters in the autumn of 2016.
Meanwhile, under her supervision, two more series were created that became very popular with the audience from the very beginning: in 2015, “È arrivata la felicità”, eventually producing a second season on Rai 1 in 2018, and “Amore pensaci tu” aired on Canale 5 in 2017.
In 2019, a first time Publispei produced a series for pay TV, “Extravergine” directed by Roberta Torre and co-produced by Fox Networks Group Italy to be aired on FoxLife in autumn. Currently, Publispei continues to renew itself by producing a crime show starring Alessandro Gassmann and directed by Gianluca Maria Tavarelli for Rai1.
