Between 1990 and 2003, as an independent producer, Maurizio Tini produced several theatrical movies (among these: La mia generazione by Wilma Labate, Italian Candidate for Academy Award Best Foreign Language Film in 1997; Sangue Vivo by Edoardo Winspeare, Nuevos Directores Award at San Sebastian Film Festival in 2000; Domenica by Wilma Labate, Official Competition in Berlin Film Festival in 2001; Il Miracolo by Edoardo Winspeare, Official Competition in Venezia Film Festival in 2003), as well as various tv-movies and mini-series for Italian and European market.
Between 2004 and 2014, as associate producer of Cattleya, he managed the production of several series and mini-series, including the cult series Romanzo Criminale and Gomorrah (Season 1).
Between 2015 and 2018, Tini joined Velafilm. In this period he produced: L’ispettore Coliandro (Season 5, 6 and 7), one of the most high-rated shows on Rai Due; La Porta Rossa (Season 1 and 2), one of the most successful and acclaimed series on Rai Due ever, distributed worldwide by Studiocanal; the series Il Silenzio dell’acqua, broadcasted on Canale 5 in March 2019.
In 2018 Tini founded Garbo Produzioni with Maite Bulgari.
