Davide Tromba is a successful professional in the field of computer graphics, with numerous international animation and special effects productions under his belt. In 1997, he attended the animation master’s program at CNBDI in Angoulême, France, where he created an animated short film called “Swingy and the Magic Hat,” selected in all major film festivals worldwide, including Annecy.
Over the years, he specialized in the visual development of international productions, including Wolfgang Petersen’s “Troy” and Tim Burton’s “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” for which he developed some of the film’s special visuals.
In 2005, he was called to Australia to work on the Oscar-winning animated film “Happy Feet,” and in 2007, he moved to France to supervise Luc Besson’s animated film “A Monster in Paris.”
In 2009, he returned to Italy to fund Animoka, where he used his artistic talent and years of experience to serve as a director and director of photography for various animated products, winning several awards, including the “Nastro d’Argento 2013” for his animated short film “Clean Walls”.
In more than two decades as the head of Animoka Studios, Davide Tromba proved himself as an exceptional leader and a driving force in the animation industry.
